About the piece
A solid black serpent drawn to follow the natural rotation of the forearm. The scales appear in negative space, as open diamonds that shrink towards the tail.
The design was adjusted directly on the body so the main curve reads from the front and in profile.
Concept
Contained movement. The shape had to feel in motion even at rest.
